A locally owned and operated collection agency, CMC employs nearly 50 residents of the Pittsburgh area and has a regional sales office located in the Philadelphia area.  Early beginnings started in 1966 when Leo Kane decided it was time to run his own agency and build on the concept of listening and responding to each customer’s needs.  With management roots in the credit union industry, Kane began targeting this market by offering cash recovery services on outstanding loans and other customer accounts that have become delinquent.  Since then CMC has expanded service lines and markets with clients ranging from local universities to waste disposal firms to Pittsburgh’s heavily entrenched medical community.

Kane contributes CMC’s forty years of success to hiring knowledgeable and experienced employees while staying on top of the technology movement.  He also believes that giving back to the community should be a high priority for any responsible business person or corporation, regardless of how small or large the contribution may be.  With a staff that is 87% women, charities involving children and women’s issues sit close to the staff’s hearts at CMC and Kane.  Each year CMC and its employees also donate to the Toys for Tots campaign and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  In addition the company also donates to several hospital and credit union foundations during the course of the year such as Children’s Hospital.

Credit Management Company maintains that all regulations are followed in accordance to the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA) while upholding collection practices outlined by the International Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA).
